The award is offered in recognition of a man or woman who efforts are contributing directly to the spiritual nourishment of Catholic boys and girls in the Scouting movement.
This emblem recognizes an adult leader's outstanding contribution to the spiritual development of Catholic youth in the program of the Boy Scouts of America.
This award recognizes the contributions of an adult leader whose commitment to the Catholic religious award has enabled girl scouts to grow in their knowlege, love, and service to God.
The award honors the outstanding services of adults who contribute to the spiritual development of Catholic young people in the Girl Scout and Camp Fire organizations and to further Catholic adult leadership in youth ministry through these national youth-serving organizations.
The purpose of this award is to recognize exceptional service projects that keep in mind “Duty to God and to each other” as lived and preached by Bishop Ott especially through the works of mercy:
This award recognizes the recipient for the years of service in Scouting as a leader who
has assisted with continuing the Catholic Committee on Scouting Religious Emblem
Programs, and encouraged scouts to participate in these programs to develop their Catholic Spiritual Life through Scouting.
