COUNSELOR REQUIREMENTS
All emblem counselors are required to:
- be registered with your scout unit
- complete Safe and Sacred (Training for Diocesan Youth Protection)
- submit all paperwork to your local church parish (certificate of completion, ethics)
- participate in religious counselor training offered by CCOS
NOTE: When submitting for both Boy Scout and Girl Scout awards, you must be registered with both units.

This booklet may be printed by counselors for reference in helping scouts with awards.
Counselor Application
This form is to be used for anyone who will be attending counselor emblem training for the first time.
Counselor Re-Training
This form is to be used by present counselors who are updating their training.
Award Submissions
This form is a checklist of all items needed for the counselor to complete the award submission process.
RACA
Form for new counselors to fill out for the Religious Award Counselor Application. This form will need to be signed by your parish priest.
Our Lady's Award Program Booklet
This booklet may be printed out and used by scouts to complete the Our Lady's Award.
Our Lady's Award Leader Manual
This booklet is the leader's guide for the Our Lady's Award Program. This manual should be used by counselors who are working with scouts on the Our Lady's Award.
Recruitment - BSA
This form is used by counselors to give general information to parents about boy scout awards.
Recruitment - Girl Scouts
This form is used by counselors to give general information to parents about girl scout awards.
Priest Exit Interview
This form is designed to give a parish priest background information about CCOS awards and a list of general questions that a priest or designee could use when interviewing scouts after the completion of their award booklet.
